"Worship,
Witness and Service are inseparable."
Liturgists
Liturgists are scheduled for one month at a time. Their participation includes the Call to Worship, Prayer of Confession and the Assurance of Forgiveness, and the Old Testament Reading. We invite worshipers of all ages, male or female, with clear voice to serve the Lord as Liturgist. Click here to request more information or to sign up as a liturgist.

Communion Servers
Five (5) Communion Servers are needed on Communion Sundays – the first Sunday of each month. Ordained Presbyterian Deacons and Elders are welcome and encouraged to sign up to serve. Please contact Deacon Moderator, David Brown, or Carolyn Melcher, to let us know of your interest.
Preachers from
the Pew
The Preacher from the Pew program has brought new faces and new strengths to the pulpit. This program allows the pastor time throughout the year to focus on activities other than sermon preparation, such as vacation or study leave. These are the Sundays a member of the congregation prepares the sermon, and along with the Worship Committee, develops the service. Lay and Clergy worshipers are encouraged to come forward and be a part of the worship leadership experience.
Please let Elaine Brown hear from you and learn about available dates.
Ushers
Would you like to help greet worshipers on a
Sunday morning? Leading up to Sunday mornings is a good deal of
preparation. Lights are turned on, bulletins are handed out, Friendship
Registers are distributed, offering is collected. Being responsive to
people's needs during an emergency is also important.
This is an important way to participate in a vital part of church life
For more information contact Jim and Jane Force or just sign up in the Blue Book in Foulger Gallery. The head usher will phone you if your name appears on the list.
Adult Choir
The music program at MCPC is an important part of the worship experience.
The choir, a group of dedicated volunteers, rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary and again on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. before worship. Anyone interested in singing during Advent and Christmas are also welcome.
Instrumentalists who would like to offer
special music are encouraged to contact Harriet Tobin, 207-725-4459,
hrdtobin@earthlink.net.
Young people, junior high through senior high, who would like to sing music that
is more contemporary than usually sung by the senior choir should contact Jud
Duncan, 207-268-3524, duncandud@aol.com
or talk to Jud immediately after church.
Calling all singers! It is not too late to join the choir. Rehearsals are
Thursday night at 7 pm and Sunday morning at 9 am.

people of God acknowledge God
present in the world and their lives!"
